LumApps is building the AI-powered Employee Hub, and that means more than adding AI to what we already have. Whole parts of the product will be rethought: existing interfaces challenged, redesigned, and in some cases replaced by AI-native ones. And what "AI-native" means isn't the same for a deskless employee as for someone at a desk.

At the same time, design itself is changing. AI tooling is reshaping how our designers work in discovery and in delivery, in their daily practice, and through the design standards and tooling we're building now.

This role exists because both shifts happen in the work, every day, in designers' hands. The team is senior, embedded across different tribes, with a design system and standards that hold, and AI tooling that exists and is maturing around them. What they need is someone who carries the AI-native thinking, challenges the delivery design by design, and makes sure it shows up in what the team ships.

You will manage a team of 8 product designers embedded in our product tribes, and you own the vision for AI-native experiences that guides what they design.
You will report to the Head of Design, who owns the design strategy and standards, and sets the product direction for design.Your job is to make that real in the work: every design and every designer raised toward the standard, and the AI-native vision landing in what ships.

• You own the written vision for AI-native experiences in the Employee Hub:

• You author it, keep it current, and make it real in the work. It lands as experience principles and reference experiences the team designs toward, and it feeds what we define as good for the product.

• You build it with the AI tribe who own agent behavior and quality bars.

• It covers desk and frontline workers, web and mobile.
  

People

• 1:1s, career development, objectives, evaluations and calibration on our career path. You build that path individually: each designer's next step, at their pace.
  

The transition

• You lead the team through the AI shift, on both sides.

• On the experience side, you bring designers to work against the AI-native vision and challenge their delivery against it.

• On the tooling side, you drive adoption of AI in daily design work, the skill-building that comes with it, and a craft that widens as the tooling matures: designers who carry a topic end to end, from discovery and framing to a shipped experience they can build rather than only represent.

*Skills*

• You have articulated and landed a UX vision before, not just designed within one.
  

• You've designed AI experiences yourself: agents, copilots, generative UI, conversational products, and have strong opinions about when AI improves an experience and when it doesn't.
  

• You have designed for frontline or mobile-first users, or you understand why AI experiences for them cannot be desktop patterns shrunk down.
  

• You've managed several designers for 3+ years: you know how to set objectives that fit where each of them is going, raise their level, have the difficult conversation when it's needed, and keep people motivated through change.
  

• You're a player-coach: close enough to the work to challenge a design in review, senior enough to not do it for them.
  

• You're comfortable managing through change: our team is mid-merger, mid-transformation, and needs stability and ambition at the same time.
  

• Full professional proficiency in English, our working language. French is a strong plus.
