As a Business Value Consultant, you'll act as a trusted advisor to our Sales and Customer Success teams, articulating LumApps’ business value to prospects and customers. You'll engage with executives and leadership, providing strategic insights and guidance to drive impactful business outcomes. You will also own and evolve our value model to ensure it takes into account new use cases and technology over time.
This person will lead cross-functional efforts to define value drivers and customer outcomes, build business cases, and enhance deal velocity while supporting strategic engagements. With deep process knowledge and strong analytical skills, you'll foster a supportive work environment and drive customer acquisition and growth.
With LumApps’ innovative technology and strategic partnerships, you will have the opportunity to take part in discovering, articulating, and evangelizing LumApps’ impact on customer and employee experience.
*What you will do*
Collaborate closely with sales leaders and account teams to identify a value delivery strategy for key accounts
Engage with top prospects to identify, understand, and quantify their unique challenges and potential benefits with LumApps
Define and communicate the LumApps’ value proposition in alignment with customer objectives
Lead business value reviews/business cases: Effectively communicate the realized business impacts and potential economic benefits of new opportunities
Build a process with necessary collateral to convert presales business cases to a living blueprint for managing the account over time for Account Management and Customer Success
Conduct a thorough analysis of customer workflows and processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and increased efficiency
Create and deliver boardroom-quality, executive presentations
Provide guidance on best practices and innovative approaches to maximize the value of LumApps solutions
Conduct training and workshops in conjunction with LumApps enablement to increase the quality of Sales discovery and their understanding of business value and LumApps' impact
Help build the future of the value engineering practice at LumApps: contribute to the development of best practices and tools for enhanced value-based selling adoption
*What we are looking for*
Minimum Qualifications:
5+ years of relevant experience in business value, value engineering, management consulting, finance, Solutions Consulting, Sales, or a related customer-facing role
Experience in SaaS, technology, or digital transformation
Experience in value-selling methodologies (e.g., “Command of the Message”)
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
Experience in a client-facing role, including working with executives and various stakeholders
What Will Truly Set You Apart
3+ years working in Business Value, Value Engineering, or Value Realization
Experience owning the Business Value workflow of a territory or geography independently at another high-growth SaaS company, meeting goals that align with evolving company strategy
Expert knowledge and experience in value-selling methodologies (e.g., “Command of the Message”)
Demonstrated experience in building and briefing business cases to Economic Buyers and executives
Strong analytical skills, including financial modeling and ROI analysis
Can demonstrate strategic thinking, with the ability to identify valuable insights and create strategic frameworks
Possesses a customer-centric mindset, with a passion for understanding customer challenges and delivering insights
Excellent interpersonal skills and a relationship builder who seeks to create a personal brand, and possesses natural curiosity and passion to learn new skills and approaches to scaling impact
